My First Haircut

We took Jack to get his first haircut. He enjoyed go to the barber, but did not enjoy the process of getting his hair cut. John literally had to hold him down while he screemed so that the nice hairdresser could cut his hair. It was quite the experience, but he did look very cute once it was completed.

My Birthday

We celebrated with Friends and Family Jack's first birthday on December 18th. We all enjoyed seeing all our family together and Jack finally took to eating his birthday cake. We definitely do not have a son with a sweet tooth. We are so thankful that the Lord has given us this little boy for the past year and look forward to the upcoming year.

Sorry for not posting before now, but I finally got some time. This video shows how much Jack loves his dad. John left for the day and Jack was very sad to see him go.

Jack tried a new toy this evening. We want to thank Aunt Janna , Uncle Mike, and Jonathan for the use of the Jumparoo. John, Jack and I got a ton of enjoyment out of it. Sounds are included so turn your sound on.

Well Jack is now 3 months and 3 weeks old. We think that we are hitting another growth spurt because he wants to eat all the time and will not sleep for longer than 4 hours at a time - We were enjoying a 6-8 hour stretch at night, but we have not been so fortunate this week. Jack is developing quite the personality. He loves to talk to us and we have to laugh when he discovers another noise that he can make. We are beginning to feel like we can read him better, knowing when he is hungry and when he is tired. The pictures today were just some that I enjoyed looking at. He loves to play with his Daddy. John can make him smile and giggle more than anyone I think.

Well we have had an interesting week. Jack had a stomach bug starting Monday. He seems to be better now, but we have learned his pooping face and noises. They make me laugh everytime.

I wanted to post two pictures today. Jack is wearing overalls for the first time and he looks so cute. I am also posting a picture where Jack is smiling but his tongue is sticking out to. He has found many new things that he can do with his tongue and mouth these days. I am not sure how he does it but he can make a kissing sound by sucking in his top lip - it is the craziest thing.

This was the best smile we could catch that wasn't blurry. Jack was not very cooperative with sitting still for long.

I love this picture - shows his blue eyes and how intently he looks at people now.

Jack turned 3 months old on Saturday, March 14th. We celebrated by going to Cheddar's. Needless to say it was more of a celebration for the adults as Jack slept through most of the meal. We took some pictures of him to mark the occasion that we will post shortly. Jack is becoming very animated now, smiling and cooing at us. We have great conversations. We tried to get it on video, but he found the camera very interesting and stopped what he was doing.

We have been told for a while that we needed to start a blog, so here we go. Our first son, Jack, is now 11 weeks old. We are settling in to life as parents, even though we don't always know what we are doing :).

We are posting some pictures of Jack as he occupys most of our time.
